Mr. PhD asked:

To those of us out there who work 60 hours a week busting our balls; aren’t you tired of sniveling civil service workers (cops, teachers, city hall employees, etc) with their excessive pensions, cushy benefits, and excessive job security always crying and complaining while the rest of us have to keep paying and paying? I won’t vote for a political candidate whose main endorses are public service unions. Sorry Mr. Policeman, there are much more dangerous jobs than what you have that don’t have cushy 3%/50 pensions. If you don’t like the job – quit! (Please).

Thanks for letting me get this off of my chest. I am just tired of civil employees who don’t know how to produce. How many of you feel the same way?
More details: I have been a cop so I know how tough a cop’s job is. I also know that it is 95% administrator, 3% meter maid, and only 2% crime fighter.

I also teach on the side. Too many teachers rely on their unions to protect their jobs instead of working hard to teach. If you child is a little out of line (remember when you were 15???), they want your kid of Ridlin. It is really about laziness. We have allowed our civil employees to get away with the minimum with no repercussions.
BTW: I am not referring to the Miltiary. They work hard and are underpaid (and yes, I was a Sailor at one time)

teachers especially, they dont get paid that bad. And also they can take summer jobs or tutoring jobs to bring in more money and great benefits.

also, there are so many teachers today who dont even really care about the kids

i have known teachers who were drug addicts…lovely huh?
